Since yesterday, Chase’s condition seems to be slowly improving and we have been trying to move him as much as we can. Movement has been a wonderful aid in the removal of the secretions that have been stagnant in his lungs. After much careful conversation these past few days, Chase, our family, and his medical team have come to the conclusion that the next best step in his care will be for Chase to have a tracheostomy. We are waiting for an opening in the OR and hope that he gets in for this procedure in the next day or two. This will allow for increased mobility and hopefully allow him to be stable enough to transfer to an inpatient rehabilitation center. ![]()

We are so very thankful for all of the love, support, and prayers from all of you. Even though this journey has been off to a rough start, you all are making it so much easier. Please continue this support for Chase, he needs us! He has been such a fighter and we are so proud of him.
